My Top 5 Make-Up Delights

Top5 Make Up

After a huge sort out, I have a medium cosmetic collection. Throwing away 1/4 inch eyeliners, virtually empty eyeshadows and the last of the bronzing balls, including all the loose ones that have escaped over time. Still, I always tend to use the same products, varied in different shades. I have compiled a list of my Top 5 favourite items currently in my Make-Up Bag to share

#1 -Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

I love a bit of glitter to add a sparkle, and these 12 colours are lovely and shimmery. Not too over the top so ideal for daywear, for evening wear if you want more colour, just simply add more. Urban Decay have made sure there is a good selection of colours to choose, they glide on very well and smoothly and blend in lovely. Also included is a 2 ended applicator/blending brush which is again high quality. My favourite colours are Dusk and Mugshot, these really compliment each other.

#2 -Clinique Eye Chubby Stick

Eye Chubby

I recently got to love the Clinique Range from a Bridal Make-Up Consultation. I loved the make-over and purchased a bundle of recommended products that complimented my skin, and on my wedding day it all stayed put all day, this was even with me being heavily emotional. I love the Chubby Sticks for lips, but my favourite is the Chubby Sticks for eyes. Again as a working mummy, these are great and quick for some colour. I sometimes use the one pictured (Curvaceous Coal) along with the Naked Palette as a darkener for the corners of my eyes, or on it’s own to make the ultimate smokey eyes. I also have Lavish Lilac which is a great everyday colour. Again these blend in beautifully and last all day.

#3 -Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil

I go through so many eyeliners. Urban Decay is by far the best ones I have used. I normally use ‘Smokeout’, but was lucky as my fabulous mother brought me a selection box for my birthday with a range of colours. You still sharpen the pencils, but as a kohl type they aren’t annoying and break off in the sharpener. The product glides on lovely, you can go for a thin subtle line, or I like to have mine thicker towards the outer of my eyes, going into a flick. This honestly lasts all day, even with my bad hay fever which I can’t take anything for as pregnant. This is the best of all eyeliners.

#4 -Clinique Blended Face Powder

I wasn’t convinced I needed this product when the beauty consultant showed me during my make-up trial for my wedding. But I use this all the time. The powder leaves a perfect finish after applying my foundation and lasts all day. After 16 months I am still on the same pot, it really does go a long way. I use ‘Invisible Blend’. This is a must have for any make up collection.

#5 -Urban Decay Super-curl Curling Mascara

As I mainly apply eye make-up to myself, I go through mascara as much as eyeliners. I am lucky to have been blessed with long lashes so I just use a little mascara at a time. Urban Decay does the job perfectly, and there is no clumping. The product has lasted me a good few months, and I use this most days so good value for money. The wand has a curl to it, which makes it easy to apply.

As I am a newbie blogger, I will try some point to do some make up tutorials with these products so you can see them in action.
